The Assist MAX+ is the “all-rounder” Foil Drive unit, for riders wanting a powerful foil assist, with minimal compromise on ride feel.

With a unique balance of power, runtime and ride feel the MAX+ does everything well without asking you to give up much of anything and is best for:

What is the Assist MAX+?

The Assist MAX+ is our most versatile Foil Drive system, delivering the ideal balance of power, weight, and runtime. Built on our latest Fusion 43V platform, it's designed for riders who want one system that performs across a wide range of foiling disciplines.

How does the Assist MAX+ compare to the original Assist MAX?

The Foil Drive Assist MAX+ steps into the generation that Fusion has already proven on the water. It directly replaces Assist MAX, bringing increased power, a tilt sensor and improved Bluetooth technology, with unlocked runtime from the new FM+ battery range

While the technology has advanced, the philosophy remains the same. The Assist MAX+ is still designed for riders who want the perfect balance of power, weight, and runtime across a wide range of foiling disciplines. The new FM+ battery family also gives you the flexibility to choose between longer runtime or a lighter setup as new battery options become available.

How does the Assist MAX+ compare to Fusion?

The Assist MAX+ is optimised for balance, offering an excellent mix of power, weight, and runtime.

Fusion is built for riders who want maximum thrust and the longest possible sessions. It delivers our highest performance but comes with additional size and weight.

Are my current 40V Assist MAX batteries compatible?

No. The Assist MAX+ uses our new 43V battery platform and is only compatible with the latest FM+ battery range.

Can I share batteries between Assist MAX+ and Fusion?

Yes. The new FM+ battery range is compatible across both Assist MAX+ and Fusion. Fusion requires the FM+ Battery Adaptor, while the Assist MAX+ accepts the batteries directly.

Can I try the Assist MAX+ before I buy?

Absolutely. Visit one of our authorised Foil Drive dealers or attend a demo event to experience the Assist MAX+ on the water before making your decision.

Does the Assist MAX+ have travel batteries?

We do not currently have travel batteries for the gen2.5 Foil Drives. However, we are working on a solution for travelling with your Foil Drive.

It is a real improvement compared to the standard high-power battery. Before buying, I was not sure because of the extra weight of the Max+, but you don't feel it and it feels more balanced on the water. The extra battery life is definitely there. Storage and charging are straightforward with the 43V charger. It's a costly investment, but it really changes the experience and the feeling on the water.
